Take a “culture break” instead of a lunch break by attending a live musical performance during the First Friday concert series presented by The Wilcox Foundation and hosted by PARC-Plymouth Arts & Recreation Complex. These free concerts will feature professional musicians from the Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra, Eden Arts Cooperative, and other performing arts organizations located at PARC. Concerts contain an entertaining mix of 45-60 minutes of music and dialogue with the artist. The intimate setting in PARC’s Band/Music Room will give guests an opportunity to interact with the artists and ask questions. Bring your lunch and your friends and enjoy beautiful music performed by professional musicians.

We have Violinist Stuart Ross Carlson - who will be appearing with the Michigan Philharmonic Chamber Strings on "Miniature Masterpieces" concert at St. John's on Sunday, January 19, 2020. Stuart began playing the violin at a very early age and was a member of the Michigan Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Currently, Stuart is majoring in both violin performance and classical composition at the University of Michigan. He is both a published arranger and composer and he will be the featured soloist with the Michigan Philharmonic Chamber Strings on their January concert with his original composition, "Fiddle Suite in A Major" and a world premiere of his arrangement of "Amazing Grace". Diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in 1999, Stuart will share some of the challenges and opportunities such a diagnosis has played in his musical life. He will be joined by Michigan Philharmonic Conductor, Nan Washburn who will discuss Stuart's amazing talents and musical compositions.
