Regional Health Equity Summit

The Michigan State Medical Society and its partnering organizations will hold the Traverse City  Regional Health Equity Summit from noon to 3:30 p.m., May 18, at the Grand Traverse Resort. Clinicians, health systems, community health centers, public health representatives, neighborhood organizations, local officials and community service providers are invited.

            Objectives are to rebuild trust in the medical professions as fundamental to achieving health equity; mitigate gaps hindering the ability to achieve improved outcomes and equity in health care; support individuals in attaining optimal health; adopt best practice protocols and community linkages to address social determinants of health; and share multi-stakeholder consensus about areas for further research, practice change and collaboration.
