Northern Michigan Startup Week

Northern Michigan Startup Week (NMSW), from May 5 through 11, is a celebration of entrepreneurship, innovation and the growing startup community in Northern Michigan. A collaborative initiative organized by 20Fathoms, TCNewTech, Northern Michigan Angels and Newton’s Road, it is open to students and adults with curiosity or an idea they want to explore, those that want to make new connections or want to get in on the action of building something new. This year’s event will dive into water innovation and the blue economy opportunities in the state.

The event celebrates entrepreneurship, innovation and the growing startup community in Traverse City through panels, pitch competitions, informational sessions, featuring startup company pitch events, discussion forums and informational networking that highlight the role of technology and startups in our regional economic ecosystem. It offers high school and college students opportunities to explore entrepreneurship, develop new business ideas and present their pitches on stage. Participants can vie for prize money in one of three pitch competitions.
