Silvio’s Organic Ristorante e Pizzeria is making a special dinner on December 11 for Terra Madre Day, the International Day of Earth. It’s a price fixe menu, with four courses of organic, local “Italian slow food” for $75.

Silvio will donate the 15 percent of this dinner to Slow Food Ann Arbor and gift a movie ticket to the Michigan Theater, which shows independent films, stage productions and musical concerts, to each diner. Silvio believes in slow food values and culture, and wants to invest in it.

Terra Madre Day is Slow Food’s way to promote the diversity of food traditions and production, and show how their network is using its creativity and knowledge to express love for the planet and defend the future for the next generations.
