Clearview Orchards has a quiet country orchard to pick CCOF-certified organic apples. Mel and Carol LaRussa have semi-dwarf trees, so it is easy for even kids to reach the well-labeled rows of apple trees. They focus on growing high-quality, delicious fruits and vegetables, with a specialty in apples and peaches.

There is lots of space and stunning fall colors. Patrons can wander through the pumpkin patch, pick up a jar of raw unpasteurized honey made by the bees that pollinate the fruit trees and a squash to cook for supper.

U-pick apple varieties include Northern Spy’s (pies), Ida Reds (multipurpose, mildly tart), Mutsu (crisp and tangy, eating and baking), Golden and Red Delicious (sweet), Jonagold (juicy and sweet/tangy), Empires (sweet/tart) and some McIntosh. There’s even a pumpkin patch.
