Beginner’s Yoga with Alexis Phillips

ARCH Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine presents one-hour beginner group yoga classes for balance, strength and flexibility with nurse practitioner Alexis Phillips from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays. With evidence mounting that practicing yoga can improve well-being, more healthcare providers are exploring its use as an additional offering. BYO yoga mat.

Phillips completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training at Peoples Yoga, and now specializes in women’s health. She says, “Yoga is a great way for me to regulate my mind and body. It has helped me learn what I need in real time and empowered me to provide holistic care for myself. Through my yoga teaching, I hope to enable others to nourish their entire being through self-exploration and mindful movements.”

ARCH Physical Therapy specializes in orthopedic, sports and work-related injuries. It is not necessary to be a patient at the office to attend. Owner and Director Micky Thompson says, “We love helping the Lansing community get out of pain and back to the activities that they enjoy most.”
