Owner Nick Gavrilides wants to show off his newly revamped Soup Spoon Café at 1419 East Michigan Avenue, in Lansing, after Stephanie Murray Makeovers, a woman-owned, design-focused business for home and business, specializing in improvements, worked their magic.

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with many vegan options; 12 draft micro- brews focused on Michigan; boutique wines, and classic cocktails.

Most of the decor is upcycled, repurposed or thrifted, while a new bookshelf by the entrance was a custom piece Murray made using existing shelving from behind the original bar.
