Foot Reflexology: A Spring Tune-Up

Composition of perfect women's feet and bags haute couture

Moving into spring, a foot reflexology session offers detoxification of bodily systems and a refreshed nervous system. Spring cleaning is a traditional way to clean out old, unwanted debris from the home and garden, and our bodies and spirits can also benefit from clearing and renewal. Foot reflexology is an excellent way to welcome spring.

Foot reflexology is a therapeutic foot massage that targets areas on the feet, or “reflex zones”, that correspond to organs and glands in the body. Massaging these reflex zones helps the corresponding organs and glands to increase blood circulation and nerve conduction, resulting in improved waste product removal, a good way to detoxify from winter.

Calming and renewing the nervous system, another benefit of foot reflexology, comes in handy after a long, cloudy and cold winter. Challenging weather and lack of sunshine can put stress on our nerves. Foot reflexology soothes the frazzled nervous system, leading to a sense of calmness and peace.
