A Walk in the Woods

A nature walk at Bird Hills Nature Area for all ages will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m., May 31. Meet at the Newport Road entrance to Bird Hills, just north of M-14.

Bird Hills Nature Area is the largest park in Ann Arbor and a haven for hikers. It contains mesic forest, old field, wet forest, and emergent marsh ecosystems. Participants should wear comfortable shoes and bring water and bug spray, if desired.

This nature walk is part of a collaboration between the Ann Arbor District Library and the city of Ann Arbor's Natural Area Preservation as one of seven nature walks taking place at parks around the city over the course of the spring and summer.
