Shakespeare in the Arb

Romeo and Juliet, directed by Kate Mendeloff of the U-M Residential College, Carol Gray, and Graham Atkin, will be performed by U-M students and community players Thursday through Sunday on June 7 through 10; 14 through 17; and 21 through 24.

Shakespeare in the Arb performers and audience members move through sections of the Nichols Arboretum as the play progresses. Each performance lasts about two-and-a-half hours. Due to the mobile nature of the performances and the outdoor setting, a limited number of tickets are available for each show. Audience members sit on the ground and are recommended to bring blankets or chairs. Those sitting in chairs will be asked to sit toward the back so as not to obstruct the view.

Matthaei-Nichols members may reserve tickets in advance and pay for them the evening of the performance. Prices vary. Box office: 1610 Washington Heights, Ann Arbor. For more information, call 734-647-7600 or visit mbgna.umich.edu.
