Masquerade Ball Benefits Urban Moms

The inaugural Charity Masquerade Gala and Award Ceremony for the Youth Community Agency with Metro Detroit volunteers, business owners and sponsors, will take place from 4 to 8 p.m., November 10, at the Eastern Market.

For the event, the goal is raising $15,000 to fund their housing program, curb homelessness and launch a pilot program that will provide an urban perspective to job readiness for teenage mothers.

The mission of the Youth Community Agency is to mentor and empower teenage mothers with the resources and support they need to ensure high school completion and curb homelessness. Since its inception five years ago, they have served more than 300 teenage mothers and children within the metropolitan Detroit area.

Location: 2934 Russell St., Detroit. For tickets, visit tinyurl.com/MasqueradeGalaTickets. For more information, call 313-833-1560 or visit YouthCommunityAgency.org.
