Live Healthy Lifestyle Classes Gone Virtual

The nonprofit Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor, a local affiliate of  The Cancer Support Community, is presenting professionally instructed healthy lifestyle and stress management classes via Zoom on a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform for all levels of ability and experience.

Cooking for Wellness—4 to 6 p.m., the second Wednesday of the month. Registered oncology dietitian Linn Storch, MS, RD, features cooking instruction for two or three healthy recipes, plenty of time for questions, and a recipe packet shared via email at each class.

Gentle Yoga—11 a.m. to noon, Mondays and Wednesdays. Engaging in gentle exercise can help boost immune function, reduce stress and keep our body strong, but it can be hard to find ways to stay active when we’re social distancing.

Guided Meditation—1 to 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mindful meditation has been shown to decrease anxiety, improve sleep and help manage symptoms and side effects.
