Garden Tea Gathering Offers Community Connection and Herbal Learning
Roots and
Rituals Tea in the Garden, presented by The Fledge at Urbandale Farm, will take
place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 28, 2025, in Lansing. This all-ages event
invites participants to explore the vibrant world of herbs while blending and
sipping personalized teas in the garden.
Attendees begin with a guided tour
through the farm’s garden beds, learning to identify herbs and flowers known
for their traditional wellness uses. From calming chamomile to invigorating
mint, participants discover the natural benefits of each plant—such as
supporting digestion, reducing stress and enhancing focus.
Guests will learn how to grow, harvest
and blend herbs for personalized wellness teas. The experience includes
interactive learning stations, herb harvesting and a hands-on blending session.
Light snacks and live music accompany tea time in the garden, followed by a
closing circle that celebrates community and connection. Starter plants will be
available for purchase for those wishing to grow herbal remedies at home.
Participants are encouraged to bring
water bottles, journals, sun hats or light layers and wear comfortable shoes.
Shaded seating and accessibility support are available. Admission is offered on
a sliding scale to welcome the entire community.
