Organic Winery Invites Guests to Savor the Season

FarmHouse Vineyards, a family-owned organic winery in Petoskey, is now open for the season, welcoming guests to its boutique tasting room every Friday and Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m. Through November 1, visitors can enjoy wine flights, wood-fired pizzas and the tranquil beauty of Northern Michigan’s countryside.

Wine flights, featuring five handcrafted varieties—including several new selections for this year—are available for $14. Guests may also enjoy a glass of their favorite FarmHouse Vineyards wine alongside artisanal cheeseboards and locally made merchandise, ideal for gifts or keepsakes.

Each afternoon beginning at 4 p.m., wood-fired pizzas bring added warmth and flavor to the experience—perfect for relaxed summer evenings. The vineyard’s inviting outdoor setting includes games such as bocce ball and cornhole, open space for children to roam, and grazing sheep that contribute to natural vineyard maintenance. Leashed dogs are welcome, and cozy fireplaces provide ambiance throughout the season.

Guests can also explore Nancy’s Lavender Collection, cultivated onsite and featuring fragrant bundles, goat milk soap, lavender oil and hydro spray. The rustic barn and optional tent space accommodate up to 110 guests for weddings, birthdays and other celebrations, with personalized wine labels available for custom touches.

This year’s events include a cornhole tournament on August 7. Tickets are $45 per person and include a paella dinner and a glass of FarmHouse Vineyards wine. Space is limited and early ticket purchase is encouraged. Live music adds to the charm of the season, with performances by Nick Visconti on July 26, August 16 and November 1, and Jeff Pagel on September 20.
