Organic Farm in Cedar Shares Seasonal Harvests Across Region

Second Spring Farm, an organic vegetable farm located on 80 acres of the Leelanau Peninsula between Traverse City and Cedar, brings the flavors of its fields to communities throughout the region. Founded in 2008, the farm specializes in certified organic produce, free-range eggs and pastured pork, grown with a focus on quality, nutrition and environmental stewardship.

Throughout the growing season, Second Spring Farm participates in a wide range of local farmers markets, offering vibrant, farm-fresh vegetables and other goods to loyal customers and newcomers alike. Visitors can find their offerings at the Wednesday and Saturday markets in Traverse City and on Tuesdays in Glen Arbor. The farm also appears at the Saturday market in Suttons Bay, the Thursday market in Leland, the Friday market in Northport and the Sunday market in Interlochen.

When the Sara Hardy market in Traverse City concludes in late October, Second Spring Farm continues its presence at the Mercato in Building 50 on Saturdays during the winter months. These year-round opportunities allow customers to enjoy the farm’s harvests regardless of season, connecting more people to local, sustainable agriculture.

Farm visits are available by appointment only, offering a closer look at the sustainable methods and mindful practices that define this Northern Michigan gem.
