Ninth Annual Festival Celebrates Lavender Season in Full Bloom

The ninth annual Lavender Harvest Festival will welcome visitors to a weekend of family-friendly activities, outdoor exploration and lavender-inspired experiences in Milan. Scheduled for July 11 and 12, the festival celebrates the beauty of lavender season while showcasing one of Michigan's premier lavender-growing destinations.

Guests will have the opportunity to stroll through more than 10,000 lavender plants in full bloom and experience the sights, colors and fragrances of the harvest season. Visitors can also participate in u-pick lavender activities, purchase hardy lavender plants for home gardens and capture memorable cell phone photos among the blooming fields and decorative photo displays.

The festival features more than 50 artisan vendors offering handcrafted goods, along with local food trucks serving a variety of refreshments and specialty foods. Guests can enjoy lavender lemonade while exploring vendor displays and learning more about lavender products and their many uses.

Families will find plenty of entertainment throughout the event, including a petting farm with riding ponies and a variety of animals. Face painting and henna tattoos provide additional activities for children and adults alike, creating an engaging atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

Festival attendees can also shop for lavender bath and body products, CBD farm products and other lavender-inspired merchandise. The annual event continues to grow as a summer tradition that brings together agriculture, wellness, shopping and community in a scenic outdoor setting.
