Organic U-Pick Farm Offers Hands On Agricultural Experiences

Jacob’s Fresh Farm welcomes visitors seeking hands-on agricultural experiences through its organically grown u-pick flower fields, seasonal festivals and family-friendly outdoor activities. The Dexter farm provides opportunities for guests to connect with nature while enjoying the beauty of organic lavender, sunflowers and other specialty flowers cultivated throughout the growing season.
One of the farm’s most anticipated attractions is its u-pick lavender experience, which opens in early July and features nearly one-half an acre of organically grown lavender. Visitors can explore multiple varieties of English and French lavender while learning about their unique characteristics. English lavender is known for its sweet fragrance and culinary uses, while French lavender offers long stems and a more robust aroma that makes it ideal for dried arrangements and sachets. Freshly harvested lavender, plants and lavender products are also available for purchase at the farm stand.
Later in the season, Jacob’s Fresh Farm opens more than three acres of organically grown sunflowers and cut flowers for u-pick experiences. Guests can stroll through vibrant fields, harvest blooms and create custom bouquets while enjoying a relaxing outdoor environment surrounded by pollinators and natural beauty.
Seasonal events such as the Lavender Bloom Festival and Sunflower Festival provide additional opportunities for families to enjoy artisan vendors, food, crafts and farm experiences. The farm also welcomes professional photographers who reserve sessions among the colorful floral displays, creating memorable settings for portraits and special occasions.
