Lavender Festival Invites Families to Celebrate Summer Beauty

Michigan Lavender Farm invites visitors to experience the beauty and fragrance of summer during its 2026 U-Pick Festival, taking place July 7 through 11 and July 14 through 18. The annual event offers families, friends and nature enthusiasts an opportunity to explore blooming lavender fields, participate in interactive activities and enjoy a memorable agricultural experience in a scenic rural setting.

Festival guests will stroll through rows of vibrant lavender plants and harvest their own bundles of fresh lavender. The experience allows visitors to immerse themselves in the colors, scents and tranquility of the season while learning about one of the world’s most cherished flowering plants. Guests also have the opportunity to browse artisan lavender products and gifts available in the farm's barn shop.

The U-Pick Festival reflects the farm’s ongoing commitment to agritourism, education and community engagement. Throughout the growing season, the farm hosts classes, special events and private gatherings that encourage visitors to connect with agriculture and gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Participants will discover the many practical and therapeutic uses of lavender while enjoying a relaxing outdoor environment.

In addition to seasonal events, the property serves as a popular destination for weddings, celebrations and professional photography sessions. Co-owners Tom and Marilyn Smith created the farm to share their passion for agriculture, environmental stewardship and meaningful connections to the land. Their vision continues to attract visitors from across Michigan seeking authentic rural experiences.

The annual U-Pick Festival remains a highlight of the summer season, drawing guests that wish to celebrate lavender harvest time while creating lasting memories surrounded by natural beauty.
