Cherry Jubilee Offers U-Pick Adventures and Seasonal Treats

Friske Farm Market invites residents and visitors to celebrate one of Northern Michigan’s most cherished traditions during its annual Cherry Jubilee, taking place July 18. The daylong event showcases the region’s celebrated cherry harvest through family-friendly activities, fresh seasonal foods and opportunities to experience local agriculture firsthand.

Guests enjoy a variety of cherry-themed attractions throughout the festival, including fresh cherry picking, wagon rides and specialty food offerings that highlight the flavors of the season. Visitors have the opportunity to harvest their own sweet cherries at the family farm while learning more about the importance of cherry production to Northern Michigan’s agricultural heritage.

The festival features an assortment of seasonal treats, including cherry tractor lemonade, cherry ricotta pizza, chocolate cherry cold brew lattes, cherry cheesecake ice cream sundaes and freshly baked, cherry-inspired goods. Guests can also sample specialty cherry products and browse a large selection of Michigan-made items available throughout the market.

In addition to food and farm experiences, attendees enjoy indoor and outdoor attractions designed for all ages. Families explore playground areas, a zipline, climbing features, a jumping pillow and other recreational activities that make the destination a popular summer gathering place. Tractor wagon rides and special retail promotions add to the festive atmosphere.

Educational displays and market offerings also introduce visitors to the wide variety of products grown, produced and made in Michigan, encouraging guests to support local agriculture beyond the harvest season.

As a multigenerational family business, Friske Farm Market continues to celebrate local agriculture while creating memorable experiences for visitors. Cherry Jubilee highlights the farm’s commitment to showcasing Michigan-grown products, supporting regional traditions and providing meaningful opportunities for families to connect with the land and one another.
