The Just Ask! Foundation, dedicated to spreading awareness about neurofibromatosis (NF) through the people most affected by it, is holding a Health and Fun Fair to celebrate the human spirit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., October 21, at Eastern Market Shed 5.

            There will be a variety of inclusive, fun, carnival-themed activities, including games, health screenings, massages, music, dancing, face painting, clowns, balloon artistry and prizes. The event is being held as a way to provide safe, socially distanced relief and support from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on some of our most vulnerable populations.

            NF is a disorder that many times causes disfiguring tumors to grow along the nervous system. Founder and Executive Director Reggie Bibbs, who has a severe case, decided that he wanted to help people learn more about his disease. He thought that the more people knew about his disease, the more they would understand what he is going through and want to help.
