Maintaining Dental Hygiene in Troubled Times

October is National Dental Hygiene Month, and Dr. Keith Dobracki, at Ann Arbor’s Dentist, wants to celebrate the work dental hygienists do and raise awareness about the importance of good oral health.

Their board-certified biological office has protective measures in place that include more ozone, nano-silvers, UVC, separate waiting areas, two sterilization areas, updated HVAC, new HEPA filtration, in-depth patient screening and the most advanced protective equipment available. Unlike dental practices in supermarkets and stores, every team member is highly trained in OSHA, ADA and CDC protocols. The office is sterilized with the same protective protocols as major hospitals. As a result, appointments may be longer than usual in order to optimize safety.

Although Dobracki has invested more than $100,000 for safety procedures during the pandemic, Ann Arbor’s Dentist does not incorporate a protective equipment surcharge for each visit. Tele-dentistry that allows patients to be diagnosed and scheduled for necessary treatment reduces flow in the office to minimize patient contact.
