Explore the World of Fancy Fibers

The Fiber Expo, held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., October 9, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., October 10, at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, features vendors with great products, fiber animals and tons of family fun. A fiber fantasy  of wool, alpaca, linen, cotton and more awaits, from the plant or animal to the finished product.

            Suzanne Sandvik will teach basic rug hooking and proddy techniques from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., October 9, in a Sunflower Mug Rug class ($30). Students should bring scissors, an embroidery hoop and needlenose pliers.
