Summer Infrared Sauna Specials at Meta Physica

           Meta Physica Wellness Center, in Corktown, offers therapeutic massage, full-spectrum infrared saunas, a raw vegan organic juice bar and apothecary services. Sauna Happy Hour is in effect Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and customers can take $5 off any elevated or BYOT sauna. Sauna memberships are also available.
          
           The elevated sauna experience ($35 per person/per hour) includes one hour in a full-spectrum infrared sauna. Towels and robe are included, as well as aromatherapy, chromotherapy and water service. Organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided in a private shower. BYOT, or “bring your own towel”, ($25 per person/per hour) still includes aromatherapy, chromotherapy, water service, organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

           Sunlighten saunas use infrared heat instead of hot rocks or steam as in traditional saunas which heat the air at extremely high temperatures, making the experience unbearably hot and difficult to breathe. Because infrared heats the body directly instead of simply heating the air, infrared saunas are seven times more effective for detoxification.
