Detroit Symphony Orchestra Plays The Beatles

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra will present Twist & Shout: The Music of the Beatles—A Symphonic Experience from January 6 through 8 at Orchestra Hall. Twist & Shout celebrates The Beatles in America, with songs such as Love Me Do, She Loves You, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Can’t Buy Me Love, A Hard Day’s Night, Eight Days a Week, Ticket to Ride, Help!, Yesterday and more, accompanied by hundreds of rare and unseen photos as part of the PNC Pops series. The show is not endorsed by nor connected to Apple Corps or The Beatles.

            The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1887, is America’s fourth-oldest. The first concert at Orchestra Hall was performed in 1919. It embraces and inspires individuals, families and communities through unsurpassed musical experiences.
