The Detroit Main Public Library will host a 3-D Printing Workshop at 2:30 p.m., January 5. In this fun workshop, participants will learn to design and print a small object of their own creation. No experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

For 80 years, the bookmobile has been an integral component of library service, visiting neighborhoods, schools, and community organizations and events throughout the city of Detroit. Over the years, the library has had many different bookmobiles, later called the “Library on Wheels.” These vehicles allow DPL to reach beyond our walls to provide wider public access to materials, programs and services.
