KUDOS - Detroit Riverfront Conservancy

USA Today has voted the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy International Riverwalk number one in the nation for the second year in a row, competing against San Antonio, Philadelphia, Indianapolis and 17 other cities. Attracting 3.5 million people a year, the Conservancy has invested more than $200 million into its revitalization in the last 20 years and generated more than $2 billion in public and private investment. The Conservancy will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2023.

The Southwest Greenway has started construction and more than three miles are open to the public. With five-and-a-half miles for walking, running, biking and relaxing, the Riverwalk will reach from the Ambassador Bridge to Gabriel Richard Park.
