Live Blood Cell Analysis at Health Matters

Health Matters is now offering live blood cell analysis. A small drop of blood is collected from a finger prick and viewed under a specialized, high-power darkfield microscope. The sample is illuminated from the sides against a dark background, providing a highly contrasted image so that live material can be easily viewed.

            The microscope is fitted with a video camera so that the sample can be viewed on a monitor, revealing distortions of red blood cells which reflect nutritional status, especially low levels of iron, protein, vitamin B, folic acid and fatty acids, among other things. Incomplete or delayed digestion of fats and proteins can also be observed.
