Earn a Certificate in Integrative Health

Lansing Community College is offering a six-week, 34-hour certificate course in holistic and integrative health starting on June 14, July 12 and August 16. There are no prerequisites. Students will gain a new respect for the healing power of the integrative health approach used by those seeking healthcare providers that focus on wellness and natural healing. The course covers all the fundamentals of person-centered and person-empowered health care, including details on some of today's more popular therapies. This certificate program has been endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association.

The concepts of alternative, holistic and integrative medicine have their roots in various healing traditions that have been around for thousands of years. Yet, this philosophy is receiving much attention today due to the changing health care climate, a growing need for a different healthcare system and a recognition of the benefits of combining the external, physical and technologic successes of medicine with the internal, nonphysical exploration of healing.
