The nonprofit International Wildlife Refuge Alliance (IWRA), in partnership with and sponsored by DTE Energy, will present the Eagle Tour from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m., January 29, affording the chance for a small number of people to be driven to a spot with scenic views of the bald eagles on the DTE Power Plant Monroe campus. Each tour can accommodate only 30 people, chosen via lottery; registration does not guarantee a spot on the tours.

IWRA is a member of the National Wildlife Refuge Association Friends groups and the National Wildlife Refuge System. There are more than 240 Friends groups that play a vital role in helping the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service fulfill its mission of conserving, protecting and enhancing America’s fish, wildlife and plants and the habitats upon which they depend. Friends groups are private, independent, nonprofit organizations formed and managed by private citizens that support the mission and purposes of a national wildlife refuge.
