Week-Long Guided Personal Retreat

The nonprofit Song of the Morning yoga retreat center, located on 800 acres of northern Michigan woodlands, will host a week-long guided personal retreat with the staff and community from May 26 through 28. Personal retreats are wonderful opportunities to unplug, unwind, and refresh the body, mind and soul.

Founded in 1970 by Yogacharya Oliver Black, and based on the teachings of his guru, Paramahansa, Song of the Morning welcomes truth-seekers from all paths and traditions to experience spiritual refreshment and relaxation. The focus of this week is finding inner peace, based on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.

Activities include meditation, devotional practices, hatha yoga and time in nature. It’s always an individual choice as to which activities to participate in, and there is ample time in the schedule for personal time and quiet reflection.

Cost is $333 (suggested). No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Lodging, which includes the cost of meals, can be booked upon registration. Location: 9607 E. Sturgeon Valley Rd., Vanderbilt. For more information, call 989-983-4107 or visit SongOfTheMorning.org.
