English Gardens, with six locations throughout the Metro Detroit area, is conducting a Homestyle Garden photo contest through August 22. Winners will be announced weekly through August 25 to receive a home or garden book and be eligible for the grand prize: a $200 gift certificate to English Gardens, via online voting by The Detroit News Homestyle readers in September. All photos must be the sole original work of the entrant, been shot during the 2023 calendar year and depict the entrant’s own garden.

            President John Darin says, “It’s true we are still family-owned with second-generation owners, but what’s most important is that our family consists of more than just the founders family; we consider everyone that becomes part of the team here at English Gardens part of that family, too! At English Gardens, you can find many employees that have been here for decades.”
