The Detroit Abloom native plant nursery and outdoor wellness center, an organic cut flower farm, will conduct their third annual Flower Therapy Workshop from 6 to 8 p.m., August 25, in the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood. A catered meal features a charcuterie board from Thyme & Honey, fresh naan cooked over the fire, beverages and buckets of cut flowers grown at the farm.

            Participants will learn how to harvest summer flowers to ensure ongoing blooms, why vase shapes matter, get a tour of the farm, create a stunning vase arrangement to take home and gain information on the best ways to ensure long vase life. Detroit Abloom holds classes, workshops and events in a spacious pavilion at the farm.
