Sharing the Land's Bounty

Tantré Farm will be conducting their extended fall CSA (community-supported agriculture) starting the week of October 2 through the week of October 23. For details about the upcoming Thanksgiving CSA, visit Facebook.com/TantreFarm.

Each share is available for $150. The eight to 12 weekly items may include a variety of cooking greens (kale, collards, spinach, amaranth or rappini), salad greens (lettuce, spicy greens mix or arugula), brassicas (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage or brussels sprouts), roots (potatoes, turnips, carrots, radishes or beets), fruiting veggies (peppers, winter squash, pie pumpkins or mushrooms) and alliums (garlic or onions).

Members receive a weekly newsletter by email at the beginning of each week describing their share items, cooking and storage tips, important dates, helpful hints, recipes and feature articles from the farmers. There may be a fall cooking or preserving class for fall members.

The farm, located nine miles southwest of Chelsea, has been providing local, nutritious produce to the community since 1993. There are about 40 acres of vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruits and mushrooms on 115 total acres.

Farm location: 2510 Hayes Rd., Chelsea. For more information, call 734-475-4323, email [email protected] or visit TantreFarm.com/about-csa/fall-csa.
