Celebrate National Alpaca Farm Day 2022

The 27-acre Cotton Creek Farms alpaca ranch began with the simple idea of having a few alpacas, sheep and chickens—a hobby farm to keep Jason busy after retirement. Owners Jason, Rebecca and Hunter Gill said goodbye to their high-stress jobs, long commutes and busy schedules after living in the Detroit suburbs for two decades and moved to northern Michigan.

            Now they will celebrate National Alpaca Farm Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., September 24, at the working ranch. Visitors can meet more than 50 alpaca boys and girls, including babies, feed them, take selfies and shop for alpaca products in the 1,200-square-foot store. No dogs are allowed.
